Writer, director, and actor, Jorma Taccone, is a versatile entertainer and creator both in front of and behind the camera. He is best known to audiences as one third of the comedy trio, THE LONELY ISLAND.
Jorma has been in a number of HIGHLY successful feature films such as Hot Rod, Land of the Lost, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and the soon to be successful action thriller Kung Fury in 2021.
Jorma is also a WIZARD as a director making his feature length directorial debut in 2009 with an adaptation of SNL's extremely popular sketch, MacGruber, co-directing the film Popstar, as well as a bunch of other TV shows, music videos and super funny commercials.
As serious actor, Jorma also appeared in a recurring role as the cocky New York artist, Booth Jonathan, in the HBO series, Girls.
At Saturday Night Live, Samberg, Schaffer and Taccone (aka The Lonely Island) became responsible for re-invigorating the series, creating the popular “SNL Digital Shorts.” He can't repeat any of the names of the shorts they made here for risk of offending people, but he won an Emmy® Award for one of them and a Peabody Award for the 2008-2009 SNL season. The Lonely Island boasts 2.4 billion overall views on their YouTube channel as well as three platinum singles (which will also not be named) and another one for the Oscar nominated original song Everything is Awesome with Tegan and Sara from The LEGO Movie.
None of that stuff really matters however as Jorma is a novice in children’s books and who really cares what he’s done in television, movies and music.
More than anything, he really hopes you like his first picture book.
